Paint ~ Drawing ~ Clay ~ Jewelry Making ~ Wood ~ Mixed Media ~ And More!

Open Studio is a time when our space and materials are available for you to create however you feel inspired.

We believe that art cannot be wrong. For this reason, we do less teaching and more facilitating during open studio sessions, encouraging and supporting participants to tap into their inner creative resources and allowing the rest to unfold.  We have staff and mentors available to meet and greet, and provide tours of the studio. We are also available to help you get started with a project or material of your choosing.  Look for staff and mentors in the turquoise aprons to assist with your needs in the studio.

Our guidelines for open studio are simple but essential to our space & vision:

  1. Participants will make art or do something creative while in the studio. Painting, writing, making music, dancing - all are welcome!
  2. Participants will model the 5 C's of our community: Compassion, Connection, Cooperation, Contribution, and Consideration.

Friday: by appointment only | Saturday 12pm - 6pm
3rd Sunday 1pm - 6pm

About

Grown from our founder’s belief in the power of the arts and community to enhance and enrich lives, the Enchanted Arts Studio has arrived in Louisville to bring people together through creativity. Enchanted Arts Studio offers an array of programs to nurture the spirit of creativity in each of us.

Our Philosophy About the Arts

We think the creative process is good for everyone! We value the process of art-making as well as the information, insights, and pleasure that can come from a completed art product. We believe that art-making provides opportunities for problem-solving, personal growth, and development. Creating in the arts is fun and has the potential to connect us more deeply to ourselves, our environment, and to each other. It is not necessary for a participant to consider him or herself an artist or to have a particular skill to come to the studio. One only needs the willingness and desire to create.

We offer a number of ways to get involved, including:

  • Open Studio: A time to create however you feel inspired.
  • Workshops: We value growth and learning. For this reason, in addition to the teaching that often happens spontaneously in open studio, we offer workshops. The third Sunday of each month from 2 – 4 pm, we offer a workshop that will be taught by one of our staff or community artists.
  • Special events: We like to get involved and will host a variety of special events as opportunities and inspiration come our way. For example, we opened our doors with "Chairway to Heaven", an event where participants were invited to help make our new art house a home by decorating our studio chairs.
  • Growth Workshops: In addition to teaching techniques, the Growth Workshops offer opportunities for personal growth and development.  Combining the visual arts with other expressive techniques, the growth workshops provide a safe space for exploration, sharing, and learning about the self and the world around us.  We believe we are all in a process of evolution and the growth workshops are offered to support each of us on our journeys.
  • Selling & Arts Show Opportunities: We hang art work in our studio monthly for sale and display for F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop. All of our participants are invited to submit work for these events.  Look out for future shows in the community as well!
  • Just For Kids: We offer camps, workshops, and after-school open studio sessions that are designed just for kids. Please see our calendar for a listing of upcoming offerings.
  • Art Birthday Parties: Because art-making is so much fun and a wonderful way to build connections, we offer the Art Party Birthday Party for the kid in all of us, young or old.  Please contact us for more information.
